Well, I guess it's jelly, really. I am making a concentrated effort to give credit to the people who bake, grow, and raise wonderful food I have been buying and consuming while trying to eat locally this summer. This very nice Mennonite lady, Lorene Miller, bakes Amish-style (soft and fluffy, like Wonder Bread, only with lard) white and wheat bread, cinnamon rolls, and other pastries for the Worthington Farmer's Market. She also makes the best seedless raspberry jelly. Intensely flavored with raspberries she picks herself, I'm sure, and not too sugary, it's just right. I was very disappointed when she told me this past Saturday she'd had too hectic of a week to make any more! Well, that's life, I guess. Look for SonShine Acres at the Worthington Farmers Market on the west side of High street by New England Street. They are taking this weekend off but will be back on September 10th.
