Clare Kiri suggested that we focus this week on helping pets and people affected by Hurricane Katrina. That's pretty nice for a cat that lives on the other side of the globe! Here's a roundup of pet-related donation programs:

The Houston SPCA has worked really hard to rescue pets affected and reuinte them with their companions. Click here to donate to them.
Petfinder.com is working hard to reunite pets after the hurricane. Click here to support local shelters throught their site.
I know there are many others, and many other people are working hard to help those who had to leave some of their best friends behind. There are also many local drives to send money and supplies to overtaxed shelters.
This is a rather blurry "Jingle Ball," another stray (with a jingle bell collar) we take care of, coming in for a smooch.
