Well, I have a busy weekend full of music, food and lots of wine (aren't you jealous?). First off, this afternoon it's the symphony, complete with the Columbus Symphony's new Director, Junichi Hirokami - I hear he inspires musicians by relating music to food; he sounds good to me - the music du jour will be Dvorak, Carnival Orchestra, Saint-Saens, Piano Concerto No. 2 and Beethoven, Symphony No 5. The Ohio Theatre has been one of my favorite places in Columbus ever since I can remember.
Then it's off to Cincinnati for an evening of food and wine talk, and then tomorrow a wine seminar featuring Alborino. Hopefully in the morning I'll have time to head over to Jungle Jim's - I've never been, but it's really supposed to be an experience.
It will probably be Wednesday before I'm back writing. To tide you over, here's a picture of monkfish wrapped in rosemary and prosciutto and served with mashed rutabagas and Lisa's best sprouts, taken with my old camera (one megapixel):
Now I'm just off to find something to wear . . .
