Call for Suggestions
Husband and I are starting a new, non gourmet series for the summer:
Ohio's Best Burger.
We are acceptiong recommendations based upon the following criteria:
- Must be beef; we might consider a side project of "specialty" burgers - bison, veggie, squirrel, what-have-you.
- Must be in Ohio, preferably within a 100 mile radius, although we are planning a trip to Cleveland soon and will accept those suggestions as well.
- No national chains will be reviewed. Local chains, such as the Kewpie in Lima, will be visited. Of course. I've mentioned before the Kewpie burger is the only fast food product I will place in a microwave and reheat hours after purchase. This is a Christmas tradition with Husband's family. We don't have a microwave and therefore wouldn't be able to do that.
- Of course, we prefer local hangouts.
- I think the burger should be in a bun, but Husband will accept a burger on Texas toast.
- House made fries, chips, slaw, etc. are a nice bonus but are not necessary.
- Okay, I have just decided if you aren't in Ohio and would like to tell me about your favorite burger I will happily listen, but I can't guarantee a review.
- Husband and I will each order a burger: one will get a simple, "traditional" burger, and the other will select the "signature" burger, if available.
- Fries will, of course, always be ordered, although in the interest of our waistlines, one of us will order a non-fried side dish.
- Any doctors who would like to donate samples of Lipitor, please e-mail me and I'll send along shipping information.
- If the server says "Everyone around here gets it this way," we will take the recommendation.
- When you are suggesting something, please let us know why you like the burger, your favorite way to indulge, and if there's anything else exciting we should know about the joint.
Okay, readers, you have your assignment. Discuss.
