In Season with Lisa - Daily on WCRS!

In_season_badge_2
Well, I have about 4 shorts under my belt now, and I think they are ready to publicize.  I think like most people, I found the sound of my own voice incredibly irritating and bizarre (I'm sure some of my coworkers feel similarly, at least the irritating part), so it's hard for me to listen to them, and of course we're in the height of allergy season, so I sound delightfully nasally.  Also, they are obviously very amateurly produced (of course amateurly is a word! I just made it one!) Today's show is: Eating Locally in an e.coli world.

I decided to name the show In Season with Lisa - Holly came up with that name; if you haven't read her movie review blog, Motley Queue, you really should, it's hilarious and one of my few must-reads.  HOLLY!  Send me your address and I'll send you a cookbook for your efforts!  I have a few to choose from.

I have to say though, I loved "Loose Morels," that made me laugh out loud.

The intro song is the Clash's "Lost in the Supermarket," one of my most favorite songs ever.  Longtime readers (Mom) might remember it was also the title of my post about the pivitol moment in my life where I realized there was something wrong with the produce in most giant grocery stores.

You can listen to In Season with Lisa every weekday at 3:56pm on WCRS fm - Columbus Community Radio 102.1 or 98.3.  Alas, if you are outside the outerbelt it might be a little difficult to hear.  I am not sure who owns the rights to the shows, so I will ask the radio station if I can make them available as podcasts (if you work in broadcasting, you can access them through Audio Port).

New shows air Mondays and Thursdays - so Monday's show replays Tuesday & Wednesday, and Thursday's show repeats through Sunday.

Please give me your feedback, even it it's mean!  If you have any suggestions on things to talk about during the shorts, please let me know.

Actually, yes there is - I've been working on getting them all on Libsyn and haven't really publicized them yet but here's a link to my very terrible podcast site:

I'm currently stuck in Lancaster. Is there any version of this online?

I heard you on the radio today, and I thought you sounded great! I know most people hate the sound of their own voice, myself included. I am not able to get the station on my radio at work, so hopefully you will be able to do podcasts!

Cool! Thanks, Lisa. I'm so honored! I'll shoot you an email with my address.
