Things to do in Columbus::October 8th Edition
I think it's officially autumn here in Central Ohio. rain? check. random 80 degree days intersperced with 60 degree days? check. some past or hopeful future president/governor/senator on the phone every time it rings? check. Growing desire to put on soft pajamas and curl up with good book/trashy detective novel and coffee and a few cats for hours on end? check.
Nonetheless, it's better for us all if we leave the house from time to time, and here are a few things for you to do while you're at it:
As always, if there is something I am missing, please let me know. Please feel free to email me with future events you think might interest my readers.
- This weekend is the Columbus Italian Festival. There's lots of nice eating, a mom 'n pop pizza shop cold pizza competition and a cannoli-eating contest. You can also play bocce to your heart's content.
- Of course, this weekend is Experience Columbus Days, sponsored by Experience Columbus. Pick up or print out the flyer and take it with you to enjoy discounts on lots of attractions around the city, along with Dine Original Columbus restaurants.
- This weekend is the last Discover Columbus bus tour of the season. This is one of those things that every year I think I should do but then never do.
- Dracula returns to Balletmet this week!
- Cocktails at the Conservatory continues throughout October. Enjoy a cash bar and snacks provided by Cameron Mitchell Catering.
- Objects of Wonder is an exhibit at the Museum of Art. Collected from lots of collections house throughout The Ohio State University. Included are unpublished pictures of Marilyn Monroe, John Glenn's first manual, stuffed animals, rocks, textiles, old OSU uniforms, who knows what all.

Aw, Thank you hugely to Ms. Bethia and Ms. Widow!
It should be a beautiful day for the The World's Biggest Potluck -and we've got pledges of everything from Weiland's Brisket to Pattycake Vegan Cupcakes.
C'mon out to Clintonville Sunday. Maybe we'll see some Widow-styled roasted beets too?
