January - I discovered that pig's feet make the most amazing stock ever, thanks in large part to Husband.
February - I attended the best fundraising food event in Columbus, hands down. There's just nothing better than seeing a woman in a fancy party dress standing under the florescent lights in the kitchen, eating with their fingers.
March - Husband made awesome fruitcake, we had a blizzard, and I cleaned my fridge (it was a slow month).
April - we had another batch of tinies. And, just for the record, Mimi has been fixed now, and she has the post-op girth to prove it. It was also a good year for morels.
May - I finally bought myself a new camera. I began composting. It was also the month that a restaurant patron ran over server Rachel Widomski at Haiku. Rachel is paralyzed from the waist down, but she is doing well and adjusting to life.
June - I was hired as a writer for a wine company (and laid off in December). I started a radio short "In Season with Lisa," on WCRS lpfm (we'll be streaming on the Internets very soon!) I began making butter, then cultured butter. It was a great restaurant month, with the discovery of Pita Hut, and the openings of Sage American Bistro and bonoTOGO (which relocated at the end of the year). I also had my first Restaurant Widow Sunday Supper!
July - July was a pretty boring month on my site, in retrospect. However, I did continue documenting my farm market finds for the forth year. wow.
August - I had my second RW Sunday Supper! I spoke at my first Pecha Kucha! I showed pictures of produce and talked about everything I've learned since I left corporate life and became a full time waitress and foodblogger. No one laughed at me!
September - I bought another camera (another Canon Elph, because I love them so much and couldn't live without one), and went to Orlando to cover the Bocuse d'Or!
October - I had a solid week of lying in bed, sure I was going to die. I found out my thyroid didn't work, and had my third RW Supper.
November - Husband began his own website, devoted to wine and those studying for their Master Sommelier tests.
December - Took on another job and wrote basically nothing of consequence for the entire month. Was begging for a shift off my the end of the month.
