You wouldn't believe how many emails I get from people looking for good caterers in Columbus. Unfortunately, I rarely have a catered meal, let alone one I enjoy. And, having worked in catering once upon a time, I admit to being jaded a little bit. For the record, Husband and I cooked for our own wedding party. But we are completely non-conformist when it comes to weddings.
My readers enjoy great food. If you want to show off your skill, these are the people who will be your dream clients. These are the people who will tell me and everyone else what a great time they had; together we will recommend you to everyone who emails us. My readers are interested in great seasonal menus, and using local ingredients are a huge plus. A lot of them are also getting married now or soon, or have friends or children who are planning weddings.
This is your chance to find clients for wedding season, because I am offering you the chance to pimp yourself for FREE. And truly, I probably get enough emails on this topic to keep several catering companies busy for at least a full season of weekends.
If you are a caterer, or know a caterer, reading this site, chances are good you have what it takes to cater an event for my readers.
So, here's what to do: leave a comment with your website. If you would like to go above and beyond, send me an email to lisaATrestaurantwidowDOTcom, including your website, sample menus, your willingness to be put in touch with local farmers (I can help you there), if you have any sort of commitment to being green or would even like to know how you could green things up, pictures of great events and/or dishes you've had, venues you are approved for, and any other information you have.
Who knows, maybe next year this time we can have a green/local/sustainable wedding show. (AmyD, maybe you should start sourcing some great green wedding fabrics). Selfish note: that's MY idea, folks, don't go making money on it without me!
