*sigh* who's tired of the cold? At least the days are getting longer. I know we Ohioans have a tendency to whine about the weather no matter what, but where there this many days this cold last year? I'm sure there were, but seriously - it's been really cold. And we've had snow that's stayed on the ground for like 2 weeks. That never happens in Central Ohio. Wow, am I suddenly 70 years old and going on and on about the weather?
What are we talking about? Oh right, things to do this week if you don't mind bundling up to leave the house!
As always, if I've missed anything, please leave it in the comments; also, if you have event you think I should tell my readers about, please always feel free to drop an email to lisa AT Restaurant widow DOT com. Thanks!
- Today's first event is for next week. As part of the Wexner Center's Andy Warhol Exhibit, Other Faces, Other Rooms, Susan M. It sounds very interesting! The event takes place next Wednesday. The Columbus Symphony presents An Evening of Big Band this Saturday. Matt Catingub conducts, with Kristen Eubanks on vocals.
- The Kristina Isabelle Dance Company will perform Levels & Lines this Saturday at the King Arts Complex. The performance sounds really interesting - there are lights, videos, and stilts!
- This Saturday is the Grand Winter Ball at the Ohio Statehouse. This event is FREE and is open to anyone. It is hosted by Civil War reenacters, and you are welcome to attend the event in period costume or in your civvies. If you have never been to the Statehouse, you should really go; it's beautiful. Plus you can learn to waltz!

- This weekend is the Scott Antique show at the Ohio Expo Center. I'm looking for a church pew for my dining room. Pick one up for me if it's cheap, mkay? Thanks.
- Last Saturday, an enormous fire took out about 6 businesses in Grandview. These were all locally-owned, independent businesses. If you'd like to offer some support for them, please visit the Wothington Candle Lab next Tuesday from 7-10pm. For $16, you can pour your own candle and have a glass of wine from House Wine.
