Dare I hope for Spring? The 10 day forcast looks pretty typical for this time of year, 70 to 40 in a 3 day period. But hopefully we're close. Amazingly enough, we have a few little things coming up in our little kitchen garden! The fennel is already about 4 inches tall and is still spreading (this year I will harvest fennel pollen); the Italian parsley is practically a full-grown plant, and our sage and oregano are showing their green as well. Maybe there's some hope for my gardening skills yet! We see what the rest of the year holds. The weeds are already pretty big, as well.
But we're here to talk about Columbus events.
- First of all, the most important thing happening this week is the opening of a new Jeni's Ice Cream shop. Today. In Dublin. Free small scoops.
- Why are you still reading this?! Go get some freakin' free ice cream!!
- Also tonight is the Spring Exhibition Opening Celebration at the Wexner Center. This is a great chance to get an overview of what the Wex has coming up. Admission is only $5 or free for members.
- Today at Wild Goose Creative, you can meet some CSA farmers and learn all about CSAs! PlumLife will be there - I'm not sure what they are but I like their logo, and that's half the battle!
- This Saturday is Gallery Hop!
- And on Saturday, the Monster Truck Nationals are back! It's Monster Time!! One day, seriously.
- Don't forget about the Winter Markets this Saturday! When I went the day before March's Sunday Supper, I found snow peas, garlic, onions, apples, sweet potatoes, all sorts of lettuce, kale, spinach, eggs, beef, chicken, sprouts, bread - lots of great things! You have two options: Columbus or Worthington.
