Tomorrow begins a week to promote eating locally, brought to you by Local Matters! I am happy to see that larger corporations are participating this year (because they have money!) - this year's week will kick off tonight at Whole Foods (both locations); I realize I am writing this at 5pm, so it's a little late to promote it, but their 5 for $5 Friday night tasting this week will benefit Local Matters.
There is a host of events for this year's week Local Eating - tomorrow is the Harvest Festival at the North Market and the awesome Market-to-Market ride, where you ride the Olentangy bike path from the North Market to the Hills Market (or the other way around, of course) - either way, it begins with breakfast and ends with Jeni's Ice Cream! Along the way, swag, samples, and goodies abound!
The week also includes dinners at Alana's, a tour of the Jeni's Kitchen, a Harvest Ball and lots of other stuff.
You can find the entire lineup here!
